Arthritis in Dogs

Arthritis in Dogs - Dog Pain Relief

To see your dog limping is one of the saddest things for dog owners. Dog pain relief becomes like a life mission for these people as they search for answers for what to do for arthritis in dogs.

Dog joint pain is most commonly from arthritis, and it's very common in the larger breeds. In my 3 decades of practice, I have to say that I rarely see it in the 'mutt' type of dog. The purebreeds are definitely more prone.

Giving pain medications to dogs or any pets just does not cut it. They are toxic to animals and solve nothing.

In my opinion, the first key to a healthy, pain-free dog is giving them the ultimate diet. No chemicals and frankly no commercial dog food. Dr. Andrew Jones, a Vet who lost his dog to commercial food and traditional veterinary medicine has written an excellent book on the subject. You can see that here, about half way down my page - Arthritis In Dogs

Natural remedies like homeopathics, herbals and glucosamine for dogs also work wonders. That is also outlined on that page.
